The last time I had a Blimpie sub was somewhere between 90-92 in Savannah, they were right out the gate of Hunter and when they opened it was at least an hour+ wait....but it was well worth it!!

Subzone.

As bad as it would kill me, I would drive the +35 miles - one way - to get a Subzone sub from their old Madison location.

I'd probably get two or a dozen or so.

How in the heck did that place ever go out of business?

I know, it was so good! I wish I knew what had happened too. I have very fond memories of that restaurant, took my wife there right when we started dating.

Good. I don't know why Copeland's never succeeded. I ate at the "real" one in New Orleans once and it was quite good. I think we went to this one at one time also.

Whatever happened to the big development that was supposed to go in down there? Was that simply a pipe dream?

According to probate records, the property sold on 8/31/17 for $1.5MM to Airport Road Equity Properties which is headed up by Huntsville attorney Michael Wisner from Wilmer & Lee.

The hurricane in New Orleans sent the company bankrupt.
