Flyers played equal to the Hawks?? The Flyers that only made the playoffs because of a shootout? Funny, I don't remembet the Hawks going down 0-3 at any time in these playoffs. (me, being a Wings fan, I will add "yet" to that last sentence.)
Watch out Flyers... Byfuglien, Keith, Sharp, Kane, Toews, Hossa, Campbell, Sopel, Niemi, Bolland, Seabrook, etc, are coming for you. And with any luck the Cup will FINALLY come home to Chicago. Its been a long, painful 39 years.

Does the path that brought the Flyers to the Cup finals make a difference ? Toss the regular season stats out the window, even though the Flyers beat the Hawks in their one regular season meeting, and take a look at the playoff stats. Things are pretty equal until you get to goaltending and Leighton has put up the better numbers. I think you have to give the edge to Philly for talent on defense too.....probably also coaching.

Obviously afraid of revealing the true weakness of the Flyers..

Not at all....would you care to be more specific ? All teams have weaknesses no matter how talented they are but if you make it to the Cup finals you either don't have many or you've found a way to overcome whatever regular season weaknesses you may have had ?
I'm kind of going through puck withdrawl...can't wait for series to start but will be depressed when it ends.
At least the NHL's off-season is relatively short. My favorite professional sports league is the NFL, which has the longest off-season of the four major professional leagues.
I don't have any fish to fry in this SCF, so I can be completely objective. I really have equal reasons for seeing either team win (or lose).
So, here's my prediction:
Hawks win 4-2
My reasoning.....
The Hawks have played two teams, the Canucks and Sharks, which were both better teams than the Flyers in order to get here. The Flyers definitely didn't have to face any team the caliber of Vancouver and SJ. Even still, the Flyers had to pull off a 4 game win streak just to move on.
No team the Flyers faced were nearly as good as the Blackhawks. I simply don't see the Flyers - particularly their goaltending - being able to handle the Blackhawks' depth.
That said, Toews and Kane, who've carried their team offensively, need to keep up the same pace. Toews enters the series with a franchise-record 13-game scoring streak. Pronger physically can't be on the ice in every circumstance and the Flyers only hope is that he can lead a defensive unit capable of stopping a two-headed monster. But then.... the Hawks have the depth (Hossa, Byfuglien, Ladd, and even Eger) to overcome that too.
Blackhawks have tied it up 4-4 with 10 minutes to go in the second period. The deciding factor will be which team gets the last lucky bounce.
