Tonight we had a bowl of Kartoffelsuppe (German potato soup) fresh baked rye bread and a glass of pinot noir wine. Dessert was left over tiramisu.

Happy to be home and back in my kitchen. Celebrating with real beef (sorry Beyond, it's just not the same) and cooking filet mignon in the sous vide, a baked potato, and sautéed zucchini with mushrooms, onions and peppers.

Making hamburgers, maybe on the grill, maybe not, depending on the snow status. Also roasted sweet potato chunks.

Homemade Mac and Cheese. Couldn't find Elbow Macaroni anywhere, so I'm substituting a pasta that's shaped close enough. I'm going to add a diced tomato to the sauce to make it a bit lighter and pinkish. I'm roasting some asparagus to serve on the side, as well as a small side mixed salad.

And a nice glass of Cab Sauv with that.
