I'm making beef sirloin tip roast pieces (leftovers) in my special gravy over faux (cauliflower) garlic mashed potatoes. Also grilled Brussels spouts. Not fancy but very delicious and a good way to use up the last of the roast beef. (Waste not, want not)
Twice baked potatoes. I bake 'em, scoop out the innards, then throw onions, garlic, butter, a little milk, sour cream, cheese, and bacon into the insides and mix and mash. Stuff it back in the potato and bake another half hour. To die for. Don't forget the salt.
Today was the last big day of yard work here for us. And afterwards I went to work on a pizza. We decided on a Sicilian pan pizza and kinda-sorta followed Chef Billy Parisi's recipe. We also had a small tossed salad and a bottle of Primitivo wine to drink. I just love Sunday dinners!
Slow cooker pot roast, served with green beans. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to drink.
