Goodness, another clean out the fridge night. He's getting the last of the Stouffers meatloaf with mashed potatoes and peas, and I've got a leftover cold roasted chicken thigh. How exciting!
Chicken Shawarma!! I made this first time ever and we never had it in a restaurant before. Saw it on "Beat Bobby Flay" and thought it sounded yummy and it really was. So easy--mix up the spices and marinate the chicken for a couple hours then 10 minutes on the grill. Side of yogurt and cumin and lemon juice sauce. Green salad.
Shawarma will be a regular for us now.

Oven roasted chicken fillets marinated in an orange marinade and glazed with spicy orange sauce. Been experimenting with trying to make a spicy orange sauce. This one turned out quite well..
I tried this recipe recently but added cayenne pepper. It was really tasty and we both commented that it would be just as good with chicken instead of beef. I think it would bake well, too, if you don’t want to stir fry.
