Our tomatoes had trouble with the heat this year and I think we may have harvested the last ripe ones. I'm going to make a large amount of fresh cream of tomato soup and freeze some of it.
Had an ugly dental appointment and the novocaine JUST wore off -- I was starving as had a very meager breakfast. So I ate a SUPER early bird dinner at 3 pm -- the remainder of my pasta with lentil sauce and a piece of homemade spice cake with whipped cream. Now having a cup of herbal tea. That should hold me for the evening.
My niece got married yesterday and they had all kinds of nice food... I can recall some itty bitty mushroom pastries, Korean beef kebabs, salmon with a chili bbq sauce, a pretty vegetable medley with purple cauliflower standing out, roasted taters, some sort of grilled steak, then of course a vanilla-frosted vanilla wedding cake and some sort of Italian custard with honey and strawberries.
This sounds like a really wonderful wedding dinner!
