Tonight was with Mom at Rockfish in nearby Southlake, TX. I had crab-stuffed tilapia w/Pontchartrain sauce and white rice, and that was sided with green beans (which included bacon bits, potatoes, and onions). Iced tea to drink. The appetizer was some garlic toast strips with marinara.
Made a huuuuuuuge batch of chili con carne today (enough to freeze some). No beans, just the meat. I perfected my recipe so I don't have that bitter tomato taste. I could never figure it out how to stop that from happening but my secret ingredient has solved that dilemma. Now it's time to make cornbread to go with it.
Leftover crispy orange chicken and brown rice from lunch, along with a side of steamed green beans.
