I want your cookie. (OK, really I want my own! But no cookies in the house! And wait, I only like crispy cookies anyway. I just saw "cookie" and of course wanted one ... )

I went VERY simple tonight ... Annie Chun's Korean-style sweet chili noodle bowl to which I added a couple of ounces of salmon (from a pouch, even -- I didn't cook it myself!). Should have added veggies too as there are VERY few in those noodle bowls. I liked the noodles OK but the sauce didn't taste ANYTHING like sweet chili sauce to me (and I have that sauce a LOT so I know what it tastes like!). The sauce kind of overpowered the salmon as well. If I buy that noodle bowl again (it seems to be popular as it's usually sold out even when lots of other flavors are there), I think I will add chicken and more of it.

Planning ahead: leftover soup from yesterday tomorrow, leftover Lou Malnati's deep-dish sausage pizza on New Year's Eve, then I am going to make a simple lamb-and-veggie tagine on Sunday for my birthday (64, eeeeeeeeeek!). Not that I'm looking forward to the weekend meals ...

Tonight was Saltgrass after work: Bone-in ribeye steak (medium, with garlic butter), loaded baked potato, chicken tortilla soup, and Lone Star beer.

And for dessert? Texas pecan bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream.
