Thinking about doing chipped steak over toast, corn on the cob, and cole slaw...hmmm
OMG is chipped steak, the same a chipped beef? I havent had creamed chipped beef on toast for years and I used to love it. (The sodium content must be way up there like spam...lol!) Used to also have it with boiled potatoes and a canned veggie when I was a kid, or on a biscuit. Anything in a cream sauce could be stretched as far as it needed to go.
This is so funny----I just bought some dried beef to make some chipped beef on toast or biscuits. I love that! My mom used to make it for us as kids and yes elston....it can go a long ways! I'm keeping it for that one day when I have nothing thawed and no clue what to make----a great suprise! Yum!!
tonight is one of our regulars.....teriaki salmon (I got the nice wild caught sockeye salmon filets with the skin on) my partner loves the skin and if I get it nice and crisp--he likes it even more. That will make fish twice today as I made a large salad plate for lunch and that included canned white tuna.....there won't be any complaint here. (I don't think....but will do steak tomorrow.)
