How do you expect government contractors to operate with less money? It costs a lot to create failed project after failed project with no oversight and nary an ounce of accountability.

Or think you're a gold hiding fanatic who longs for the day of the horse and buggy.

Plus, you'd be a non-interventionist and would've let Hitler rise to power. You traitor!

Funny. We intervene in other peoples' governments but we're afraid to intervene in our own.

I've always admired this speech:

"You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strenghten the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away a man's initiative and independence.
You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves."

--Abraham Lincoln

Fantastic quotes.

Unfortunately, liberal warmonger neo-con RINOs only liked Abraham Lincoln because he suspended Habeas Corpus, thus providing adequate fodder to repeat the process.

Actually if you revist history you will see intervention is what let hilter rise to power because of the sanctions on the country and they turned to hilter for the solutions. We also got into WW2 because we were attacked by Japan. Every country can't be managed by the United States. When we have JUST WARS we WIN those wars. It is when we enter wars, carelessly and for no reason other then to support idealism or to "protect our interests" we find ourselves losing. A policy of non-intervention would save us many UNNESSARY wars, bosnia, somila, vietnam, korea, etc etc and the wars we did have would actually be to defend OUR country and our Freedom and Constitution. The true traitors are those who support Empire and the United Nations.
They are the traitors to the constitution and ideas of our founding fathers.

Don't forget the humiliating terms of the Treaty of Versailles and the resulting hyperinflation of the Weimar Republic, creating a ripe time for a power hungry madman to anger the German people and scapegoat an entire subset of ethnicities. Yes, thanks to the scholarly Woodrow Wilson who also brought us the treasured Federal Reserve Act, we can appreciate all that he did to help our economy and foreign relations.

The last war we won was WW2. It was also the last time Congress declared war and the entire country felt the pain and glory.

...and was paid for by War Bonds.

At least we've been clever enough to dupe the world into receiving IOU nothings for payment.
