Do you mean that same group of people from which Obama just robbed $750 billion in medicare funding? I would bet that the seniors are just peachy with that. If Obama is re-elected (unlikely), the medicare 30% reduction in reimbursement set to start Jan 1st will result in MOST medical practices dropping medicare. Our 140 physician multi-specialty clinic (as well as the other large clinic in town), plans to do so if the cuts go through, as we already lose money on medicare patients now.
I wonder how happy the seniors will be with Bo if they cannot get healthcare due to his Obamacare fiasco?
Nope, I wish actually. You are not interested in how to make money in all political climates and economic conditions so why bother. Obama is doing a great job for the rich. And you thought Hollywood likes him because of liberal views.
Actually Hollywood is a very self centered place that really only cares about itself and making money. There might be individuals in it that care about certain political sides, but overall Hollywood is in the business of making money, that should be obvious to you Cons.
In socialism there will be the super rich and super poor. Enjoy!
Wow, your concept of socialism is completely false, which explains why you have a hard time understanding what the word means when you use it, maybe this will help.
Quote:
so·cial·ism
a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
That means everything is shared, therefore you do not have super rich or super poor, you just have a strong middle class that is working for a common goal as a community as a whole. There is less individualism in socialism and more community and unity, which is the exact opposite of what you think socialism is.
Your definition of socialism is actually more in line with the definition of capitalism where you do have a system of super rich and super poor because there is always winners and losers in capitalism and it is a much more individualist point of view.

Hope that helps you in future discussions.
In a pure socialist society, how would you enforce everyone contributing at an equal level? Specifically those that just flat out don't want to be bothered working/contributing?

Notice I did not mention the middle class. Do you think I left that out for a reason? The middle class will be a thing of the past. Middle class will be moved to welfare rolls. It is already happening. More people are on welfare today then before. There is already a 40% jump.
"Gotta love that redistribution!!! I'm living in a sec 8 rental house, subsidized by the fools paying income taxes. Both me and my live in boy friend have jobs that pay cash and only work when we need extra cash. I get welfare, food stamps, on medicaid. We both have new suv's in the driveway. I'm watching MSNBC on my 55" HDTV through my home theater sound system. I'm writing this on my computer with broadband paid by taxppayer subsidies. Got to get off, one of the kids wants to play with the game box.
One of my cell phones is ringing anyway.
Gotta love that redistribution stuff."
Redistribution of wealth is the transfer of income, wealth or property from some individuals to others caused by a social mechanism such as taxation, monetary policies, welfare, nationalization, charity, divorce or tort law.[1] The desirability and effects of redistribution are actively debated on ethical and economic grounds.
Two common types of governmental redistribution of wealth are subsidies and vouchers (such as food stamps). These programs are funded through general taxation, but disproportionately benefit the poor, who pay fewer or no taxes.
Capitalism is an economic system that is based on private ownership of the means of production and the creation of goods or services for profit. Other elements central to capitalism include competitive markets, wage labor and capital accumulation.
The Republican Party founded by anti-slavery activists in 1854.
