If I'm not careful I'm going to wind up on that list. I do think about you guys all the time but it seems the older I get the long it takes me to do things... like walk from on room to another!! I just seem to get so distracted here lately. The weather is nuts here. We had a light freeze the last week of October and some of my Esperanzas bit the dust while others are still thriving. And of course you know what time of year it is!!!!! It seems like all I do here lately is pack and unload for wonderful camping trips. Fall is so short here I want to be outside for every second of it.

How's everyone doing? I miss you guys so much!!!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. We sat out side with a fire and had a few neighbors over for hot dogs. Was great!!

Thanks, but I must be missing something here. I try not to use knives any more than possible because I often cut myself -- but I havent posted anything about that kind of stuff in a long time.

Edited to add that I did find a post in which I mentioned having cut myself badly with a serrated knofe. That post was at the bottom of the first page in this thread (post #10), so maybe that's what you saw and didnt realize it was from 2013. Anyway, thanks again for the good thoughts!

I truly, truly thought you posted about cutting your finger to the bone in the last couple of days. It was so bad that you couldn't drive yourself to the ER. I must have read post #10. I may need to double my meds.

I had written that (about cutting my finger so badly that I couldnt drive to the ER) in post #10 from 2013. That post was the last one on the first page of this thread, so it would have been easy to read it and think it was the most recent post in the thread.

But I'm still touched by your sweetness and concern, Ketabcha.

Today is Veterans Day.

Thank you to my favorite veteran, my daughter, who served in Desert Storm in the early 1990s and in Iraq in 2006-2008 and many other places in between -- and who was the first female from the 82nd Airborne inducted into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club, the first female selected to run an S3 Air -- Air Operations and Training Officer [also while in the 82nd AB and for the largest Battalion], the first female Physician's Assistant selected to stand up a brand new medical unit and many more honors/firsts.

And thank you to my father, who served in World War II (where he invented the first portable collapsible stretcher for use by American troops in the field) from 1943-1945 and in the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953.

Both of them were wounded in battle. My father had a bullet in his leg for the rest of his life and my daughter was air-lifted to Germany and then to San Antonio for emergency surgery and a lengthy recovery.

CANNOT find it online anywhere, but last week a large envelop from NRA-ILA https://www.nraila.org/
came in the mail. It was a 2018 Hunting Dog Calendar. Enclosed was a "free Calendar" and a request then to make a donation........

Seriously.

Look at my screen name. Do you think I want pictures of Dogs in my house?
And I do not like hunting.

BUT I had to laugh. I am giving it to my redneck brother for Christmas.
Nice item, well done, but not my thing. Still a nice change from the usual address labels that usually come free in the mail with a request for a donation.
