Any city that has Thai 9 doesn't suck.

I live in Indy area but go to Thai 9 when I am visiting or passing through Dayton.

Thai 9 is delicious. Next time you are in town check out:

Siam Pad Thai - Kettering | Urbanspoon

It's a little more out of the way than Thai 9, but has excellent food for reasonable prices, and a great sushi bar.

Sadly, no place is too safe (including your own house) especially if you are alone.
