Agree about LaRosa.

The old Godfathers out on Woodman was a close second.
Godfathers is supposed to be opening a new branch off or near Wilmington Pike somewhere. They have a place up in Huber (?) but too far for me.

They have a reputation for good pizza...and not just in Dayton. Intrestingly that chain is based in Omaha, I think, but apparently they do have a popular recipe.

My complaint about pizza in general is that the crust tends to be too doughy, which I put down to the influence of that Uno so-callled "Chicago style" (which is just one Chicago style) pizza.. Cassanos is too salty for me (I recall they did have a thinner crust) but I have had local pizza that had the formula about right..thinner crust and good toppings and not overwhelmed by saly.

Yeah, the pizza from LaRosa's is ok, but lately (not sure when I wrote what you quoted), the calzones have been on the small side. I've found Dewey's Pizza to have better quality calzones for only .20-.50cents more. Down side is the closest Dewey's in Dayton is near UD off Brown, but it is worth the drive down US35 from Beavercreek.

A new Marion's in Mason is planned - I read somewhere that it would be at Snyder & Tylersville Roads.

Funny how a lot of Dayton businesses are moving south and vice versa for the local Cincy businesses.

Right, the Town and Country shopping center is the Marion's that sticks out in my mind. Having driven by it for years to and from Fairmont it was kind of a landmark. Once the weather warms up, that might be the destination of a cruise night.

yes dayton still sucks because it seems like the city leaders dont want to put any activities here for people to do and the crime is bad here

the city leaders can't afford to put in activities for people to do because they are broke. The city is broke. And the crime is the local's fault. Have a crime problem? That's the communities' issue...cops can only do so much.
