Highs above 75 for the long term isn't much of a stretch to predict as soon that will be 10 degrees below normal, in July and August a high below 75 is about as rare as a high above 100.

I guess that's what I'm getting at though, I enjoy when my skin is cool to the touch. Like right now, it's cool out, I have the house opened up, am in a t-shirt and light running shorts. My legs are cool to the touch. Ahhh. If I could sleep in 60* weather every day, I would. I wake up in the middle of the night like a blow torch ready to jump in a cold shower sometimes if it's too hot.

Then again, I sweat with any kind of exertion with temps over 80* or in direct sun. No I'm not fat - quite the opposite, I just work my tail off for a living, and can cycle for 30 miles without second thought, so perhaps it's my circulatory system being too efficient.

I just sincerely can't understand how people can be active in oppressive heat.

I think that is one of the advantages to being a warm weather fan as opposed to a cold/winter weather fan (at least in the Tri-State area)….we get to enjoy far more of the weather year.

Most WWF could care less if the daily high is 62, 93, 77…etc…as long as there is no snow and it’s above 50 F for highs. I was just as happy back in April when it was 60 F as I will be when it’s 90 F this week. For CWF it seems that anything over 50 F is too warm, and they aren’t really happy unless there is snow falling.

To be honest, I really could care less if it's 77F, 60, 94 F...etc...my main thing is I HATE snow and cold temps (below about 45- 50 F). Even a typical sunny November day in the low 50's is not so bad. It's that crappy cold (30's and low 40's for highs), windy, overcast, and at times snowy winter weather we seem to get in the Tri-State area every third or fourth winter I can't stand. Fortunately, once you get south of Massachusetts/New England on the East Coast, daily highs in the 30’s and 40’s are confined to just a few months a year (Dec – March). The next few days are fun to experience, though…a little bit of the bayou New Orleans… or a sample of “monsoon heat surges in tropical India”…etc. It makes for interesting weather each summer. Granted I would not want six months of this kind of weather.

We are lucky; we have a rather mild climate on the East Coast from coastal CT down to about Virginia Beach…warm springs, long warm and sunny summers, long falls, and a cool but not really cold winter with fleeting snowfall (most often – lol). I really can't complain about the climate here.

The snow hatred isn't universal among warm weather lovers, but for me it's really the only interesting part of the winter.

Temperature Update:

Litchfield County CT doesnt even break 90 either day on the Euro. The GFS has all of CT in 80s only..

Wednesday high temps left. Thursday High temps right. Euro on top. GFS on bottom.

95-100 stays south of NYC on the Euro(except for some spots in CT and MA) and south of Baltimore on the GFS.
80-85 in Northern Vermont and New Hampshire.

Looking more like a 1 day 90s event for many CT locations... we'll see. Hard to imagine being in the 60s AGAIN today. Well below normal.
