No, I was just a child, but no one was injured. I thought it was all rather exciting. I'm weird like that.

Apparently meteos and storm chasers are waiting for the big outbreak of severe weather PA southwards today.

HRRR model has the line still in PA at 8pm. Look at that line of red! Thats some intense stuff near Baltimore! Heads up if your travelling.

Since it will be night and morning here, I dont expect anything severe except a few rumbles of thunder.

I'll post a little about June tonight.. Last time we had below normal monthly average temp was March 2010! 14 straight months of above normal mean temps. We may finally break that in June with below normal temps. Major blocking going on. Some coastals too.

I think you mean March 2011......otherwise it would be 26 straight months.

May was barely above normal until the last week, it ended up being the 11th warmest ever in Central Park.

Wow!! Surface temps From the 18z GFS for Northeast U.S. Lots of 40s and even 30s popping up into Litchfield County.. Are we going to be using the heat in June??

Rain moving in after 10pm...could be heavy at times after midnight. Heads up on road ponding. Thunder not out of the question either.

Yesterday was the perfect weather for me, warm with a nice warm breeze. Today was much too cool but still a beautiful day.

HRRR model saying some really heavy rains moving in West half of CT between 2-3 am. Could be some strong winds with it. Nothing severe.( I hope. Im impressed Binghamton has a Thunderstorm watch. The line wasnt supposed to be that far north)

2.85" of rain between 1:15am and 4am. HRRR was accurate with when the heavy rains would come through. I love that Hi resolution model. HRRR Model Fields - Experimental . BDR less than 2" of rain...once again, location matters where most of the rain falls.

GFS continues its cold trend for June... Here's Wednesday morning temps.

NWS says that it was (in Central Park) the 2nd warmest meteorological spring (March 1 - May 31) on record, averaging 56.9-deg (record was 57.1 2 years ago, #3 is almost a full degree lower). It shows Bridgeport at 54.3 and 5.1 degrees above normal (CPK was +4.3) but no word on its ranking.

Next week looks downright cold for June (I'm happy, I'm working a daily but temporary job in a school with no A/C), but if you believe (which I don't) Accuweather's 25 day forecasts, the following week shows a lot of temps near 90.

Raining here in NH with temperatures in the low 50s today. It would be a nice change to have a month with below average temperatures. We'll see how the month transpires.
