I am not a fan of the humidity at all. Usually we deal with this stickiness in July and August, not May. If this is an indication of what this summer will be like, I will be miserable!

I used to live further south and I absolutely hate the humidity. The worst humidity I ever experienced was in Kansas City, MO when the dewpoint hit 80F. That meant the air temperature felt at least 17F warmer when factoring in the humidity. A true nightmare that AC can't fix.

Same here, GraniteStater. I travel to the midwest regularly for work and it is one of the worst places to encounter stifling humidity. I found it worse than central Florida, which says a lot as I despise their summer weather!

Default Temp Difference

Another Day of big temp difference.

People near the coast saying its chilly in the low 60s while people 55 miles inland are saying its warm and muggy in the mid 70s.

Amazing.
Hartford 75. Bridgeport 62. 13 degree difference.

Big blocking over the NorthEast & East Winds causing clouds, humidity, and tamed temps. I am still impressed again at the coast temps being in low 60s (but feels like upper 50s).. NJ coast different in the 70s.. Looks like it starts north of NYC beeing 60-65

Current temps.

Next change after that would be by mid July. Either to dry conditions again or very wet.
Looks like we did return to normal precip. Some locales (like mine) have double the amount. (7+ inches for me this month)

Looks like normal-cooler then normal temps staying with us. But lets see if the heat comes back now like I said.

But according to the NAO... cool is here to stay. Just be lucky it wasnt that negative in Winter.

My thinking still stands for a warmer than normal summer(although thats in jepordy) and very wet.

With the way they are moving NorthEast from the south and the way the NAO is negative chances are higher BUT... as time goes on wind shear will be an issue for Hurricane development believe it or not.

I'm not expecting many Tropical systems. May-July could be more active than August-October. El Ninos dont help.
