2 days. Back to below normal this weekend. Yeah, as an active person who hates being inside I need this weather. I been jogging nicely lately and this morning even I didn't wear shorts. Plus the fact that heat gives me instant migraines and fatigue. My tolerance is lower than most at 72 -77 degrees. We can thank the negative NAO for this.

Speaking of negative NAO, models kept having it go to positive but now keep it negative (and deep) for near future. I wonder how long it will last. Those who hate a cold winter better hope it goes positive by then.

This pattern would translate into 20s for highs in January.

Default Where are the storms?

Been a while since I talked about a storm.

So aside from the showers/thunderstorm chance Thursday and Friday this week 6/22 & 6/23, the next organized system would be Monday. GFS and Euro agree we should be getting some rain next Monday. GFS as shown with graphic takes it north of us, Euro takes it to benchmark.

But watch for storms thursday-Friday.. Heat + Cold front = storm

And here's the NAO forecast from GFS12z today..keeps it negative to end of month then goes positive for July. (maybe heat returns for July?) Still early and its been showing something similar to this with it going positive and has been wrong.

I just can't comprehend how people say they love 95* weather with humidity. Seriously, are you telling me in that kind of heat you like to work in the yard? You play with the dog or the kids and run around and don't turn into an overheated ball of sweat? Do you drop the top and inhale the nice haze and drive around with a blowtorch on your neck? Bleck...

What the hell can you do in that hot weather except swim in a pool?

I like it for the swimming aspect but would love for it to be like one month a year, I yearn for weather like the last few days. My folks almost moved us to Florida (Port St. Lucie area) back when I was in high school, but backed off when they realized they don't want "eternal summer"......

That gave me an interesting visual.

I don't mind a few days of 90, the timing is perfect with school ending. It's been too cold for swimming. I'm more than happy to see temps fluctuate between 70-90. We can garden one day, and swim the next. I'd much rather see a cooling trend in June rather than January.

Good to see the heat fans are still on the CT weather fourm! I have been working down in DE, back in CT for the next month at least. You should see highs above 75 F for the long term I would think. Hope you enjoy the coming mini heat wave; Here is the NWS forecast:
