Typically during La Nina years its cool and wet which will suck for my garden... but last year we were in La Nina and look what happened. Connecticut's hottest summer on record including a drought.. But then again we were transitioning from El Nino... Now we just came out of the peak of La Nina so we're heading opposite direction.

I think it all depends how fast La Nina weakens... If she weakens slowly, its a cool and wet summer. If its fast.... Hot and Wet and that means one thing for summer...STORMS. Maybe a hurricane.

Take that last breath of clean crisp air this morning... 40s and 50s are coming. The storm on the 21st looks to be rain at this time.

Wake me up when it hits 70 - until then, this summer-boy will continue his hibernation.

What am I saying? 70 degrees is warm? I'm such a northerner now.

CAM...why is it snowing in my yard again, you didnt warn me!!! your supposed to be my early warning defense system! noone told me there was going to be snow *runs around paniking*

but realy now...smaller flakes but its comming down nicely and its started sticking, dont know if we'll get any accumulation other than a dusting...looking at the radar it looks like its only a small band of precip.

I will believe 40 when I see it. Yesterday it hit 34, and right now it's 28. I think a lot of you are nearer to the coast than I am. We still have 2-3' of snow on the ground, and that's in the shallowest areas.

Love those faces. lol I doubt there is over 2 feet of accumulated snow anywhere now. Could I request you find a spot that wasnt a drift or a mound of snow, dig down with a shovel and stick a ruler in there? Take a pic and post it. Unless you live 1000 feet up everyone in the state should have less than 15 inches now.
