Very informative. (In my case I'm almost sorry I asked, lol.) But at least it's on the weekend.

Latest NWS BOX forecast discussion:

The storm will develop off the Carolinas on Friday, then move up the
coast Friday night and Saturday. Still differences among the models
on storm track. The GFS and GGEM bring the center up across the
40N/70W benchmark, while the ECMWF brings it under the upper low.
This brings it to near Nantucket and then loops it west to the RI
waters before sweeping east and northeast to Nova Scotia. Both of
these tracks suggest hours of snow. The PW values are rather low for
amounts, but a cold column and high SLR ratios would still bring
impressive accumulations. Potential for an impactful snowfall over a
broad area of Srn New England later Friday night through Saturday.

Hope something materializes. My mom's visiting from out of state, and it'd be cool to have her experience a good ol' fashioned Nor'easter.

Are there any models still showing this as more of a major snowfall for Eastern CT then the western half?

Part of what I have been seeing reminds me of the March 2001 blizzard threat that in the end was so for points east but was more moderate to the west.

I believe the GFS is still showing a sharp cutoff of the snow to the west. Euro shows the snow across CT, MA, and NYC metro area.

Stacking up on a couple of days worth of food for this storm; I bet the roads will be fine after a while but I guess it's going to be a lot of snow.
