People on the roads gonna think its just plain rain

They couldn't salt the roads because of the rain.. Wonder if they do it after the changeover

Hopefully the roads stay warm enough!

Down here in Yonkers I can see ice on the parked cars but everything else is just wet. I got out of my job in Riverdale at 1:45 and on my drive home I saw salt/sand trucks in both the Bronx and Yonkers so I am assuming they are doing the same in CT.

Thankfully, I had a bag of salt from last winter, was able to do the upper half of the driveway, and the walkway. I emptied my Ash can from the woodstove on the lower half of the driveway, hopefully it works

How did it work out for you?

I tried that once on the walkway.. BIG MISTAKE! when the ice and snow melted it left black stuff all over the walkway and stupid me walked through it and tracked it in the house. Doh…

Another cold morning. Last one for at least 6 days. I see 40s everyday this week?

Good thing. My place is a hockey rink and I’m not allowed to use ice melt. I’m guilty of responding “Nah. We don’t need to fill a bucket of sand at the beach” a couple of months ago. To preserve domestic tranquility, I need some melting to happen.

Good! In my perfect weather world winter should be mid December through all of January. It can be as cold and awful as it wants during that month and a half. Then when February rolls around we should declare winter over lol.
