Just rain here in Milford, and car temp is 38 F. Looks like the warm air is just off to the south of the Tri-State area:

Current temp departures... YING and YANG. Connecticut is not involved in the Ying or Yang but is getting that southern warmth again.

Current Upper level Heights and Radar.. Upper Level heights (500mb)(25,000 feet) is what you look at to see the overall weather pattern and why things are happening at the surface...……

Look how far the Jet is digging in the west! Down to Mexico. This is why Los Angeles California has a rare Blizzard Warning for tonight. Cold and Snow digging far south

Incredible to see this. I'm used to seeing it in the East. So here in CT we are on the wrong side of things if you want winter. This has been the case all winter. The west is breaking cold and snow records, not us because of the pattern.

We have to share you know. The west cant always have the heat

Snowstorm Update February 27-28::

Here is what the German model says... Stays all snow except for immediate coasts in New Haven and New London

Here is what the Canadian model says. Changes to rain for Eastern Half of CT

Here is what the GFS says. Changes to sleet, ice and rain for southern half of CT

Timing is slightly different with each of them
German starts the snow between 10pm Monday and 1am
Canadian between 1-7pm Monday
GFS between 7pm Monday - 1am

Euro comes out around 1pm

Euro12z.. NOT BAD! Has 0.99" falling from sky and cold enough for snow! That equates to 8-10" of snow using 10:1 ratios

Then big warmup and rain days later.

We got about 3 inches of snow Tuesday morning. I had the day off so went skiing in the morning and built snowmen with my girls in the afternoon.

Dang, really starting to enjoy the CT winter. Better get my search ready for South Carolina when I get back inside from shoveling because I will be cursing CT.

FYI, I do NOT enjoy, like, tolerate or even appreciate snow.
