The last time a hurricane made landfall in New England.

It took 30 yrs .. not bad. You would think it would be happening every year with the uninhabitable planet coming soon.

Sounds like today's storms produced a tornado in Thompson, CT. I feel like the northern and southern halves of the state have had very different weather days today. It has been a wild one up north!

Would be weird to be in FL and have parents in CT get hit by a hurricane first.

If you live on the eastern side of CT I would start getting prepared now. GFS would be tossing up significant, weeklong impacts to that region.

The National Hurricane Center's 11am update is bringing the storm in a little closer to CT. Looking more like a Montauk or CT/RI border landfall.

I wouldn't say NYC longitude is safe at the moment - GEFS moved even further west, there is a cluster going right over SW CT.

And the latest afternoon Euro shows a landfall in central Long Island/central Connecticut.
