Are these temps more like December? It feels like it. I just look up Trumbull weather and it says 52 high for December.

Here is another question for you Cambium. With all this talk of global warming/climate change I am looking forward to CT getting warmer but that does not appear to be the case.

Have temps in CT in the last 10 years been warmer than 100 years ago? With the past few days, it appears it is getting colder instead.

Connecticut's average temperature is about 2 degrees higher than it was in the 1950s. As for recent temps, remember climate is historical/long term, weather is your short term/day to day. The weather lately has been colder than usual, the climate has not.

Not sure what source you're using, that's too high. Per the NWS site, the average high for New Haven starts at 48 F (Dec 1) and falls to 40 F (Dec 31).

Yup, there's a few sites to check. I like this site, easy to use and see. They use the official NWS numbers.

You're asking about the past 10 yrs then you try to correlate the past few days? lol.
Ice age ended not long ago, we're still coming out of it so naturally gonna warm. Spring is the only season that hasn't warmed as fast. Everyone better stop trying to "save us' because they will miss the warmer days if it ends. Rev up those engines!

I make it easy and think of it like this.
Normal is 80s for August, 70s for September, 60s for October, 50s for November, 40s for December.

Here's Waterbury for October. Blue dots = Normal Low temps. Pink = Normal High temps. The bars is what the actual temps were so far.

By end of month the normal low temp dips to 30s° and the max is upper 50s. The max temp past 4 days been well below the normal. November like.

Near or record cold max temps happening AGAIN as the stalled Upper Low is hovering over us. Basically a vortex up above us that is carrying a cold pool of air.

These Upper Lows always produce clouds

Newark was -21° below their normal max today.
-20° for Allentown, Reading, Harrisburg, & Wilmington

5-6 days of well below normal temps for some

For the period of September 25-October 4, 2022 the Mean max temp was 65.1° at Bridgeport. It's been since 1984 since it was that cold for the period!

Since 1928 for NYC
