We will be in CT 3 weeks from today. What should we pack clothes-wise to cover the month of June? I read some of yall are still putting on jackets.

Are you going to be near the coast or inland? Big difference especially if the winds are from the South or East. I would leave the jacket home but definitely pack long sleeves, sweatshirt and long pants as well as shorts too and sunblock. Could be in the 80s & sun in June but it may only be chilly 60s & rain when you're here..

Yes, Spring is only 1 month worth because winter is extended into March and April, Summer is longer into September and October so Fall is shorter. That's what seems to be the norm now. It'll change... just need to have a good memory.

As far as 85+ in September, nothing interesting. It barely hits mid 80s in September. But 80+ is different. Used to be just 8, now averaging 11 times. 2015 had 19 days hitting 80°+! Last year 7.

1920s was nice, only got to 80° 5 times or less in September.

Case in point.. Extended winters then....Summer starting earlier so Spring is shortened recently

As far as Hartford hitting 80°+ in May, definitely happens. More so now than in the past. Averaging 9 days now when it used to be only 5 in the 1950s.

Last year we had 8 days in May hitting 80+.
2015 tied 1991 for the record at 17 days

1915, 1924, 1927, 1928, 1938, 1945, 1968 were special years not hitting 80° in May.

The other day I saw in the forecast that it was supposed to hit 63 here today and I'll be surprised if it hits 60.

We haven't made it out of the 50s today in the Hartford area. Gray, dismal, cool, damp. Blech.
