I moved to Fl 2 years ago, have not had a hurricane hit yet. How crazy is it that CT is getting hit with a hurricane and meanwhile down here in Fl it's been tropical storms at the worst!?

Mid 20th century Ct got hit fairly often. Perhaps the last 50 years were the anomaly.

People have crappy memories or lack the ability to research themselves so they rely on headlines & never read between the lines.

11 Tropical Cyclones affected the region circled within 19 yrs time from 1940-1959. 4 more in 1960s (not included here)

All lines = Tropical Cyclone. And this isn't showing all the ones that missed either.

At least we're not getting long heat waves past couple years! Not a bad summer overall expect this humidity but that's never gonna go away.
