That goes to show what a few degrees does! Sticks quicker and continues to stick there. WOW. I had 4 hrs wasted of snow and precip. Now sticking. Up to 2". Roads are fine.

We are under a discussion from WPC now. Basically says get ready for heavier snow rates this evening

Anyone have an image of roads north of 84?

the sidewalks and streets are covered now in the Farmington Valley. Probably less than half and inch, but it's coming down pretty good now.

New Jersey and Philly look like they are getting HAMMERED from that latest loop you posted, Cam. Still all rain south and east of route 9 and east of 395 (except for that tiny corner in the north).

Central NJ - rain
NYC - rain/snow no accumulation
Wilton - wife says 2"

I question if any of these areas can get to double digit snowfall

I will admit that as it turned out in the end one could easily have gone in today and left early if not felt pressured not to leave (and even that many school districts could've had early dismissals today) but this is a problem I find with the corporate world that the academic world seems to get right.

Exactly, it's one freakin' day, the world won't end.....

I kind of agree and kind of don't. Many declared last night, they could've waited until 5am and based on how it played out, early dismissal would've worked. I think tomorrow some will delay and some will close.
I agree and that's why I can't work for any company that barely values their employees safety (Mainly all of them)..

I think a lot of districts got caught with their pants down on Friday and went to school, then dismissed early into a huge mess and then the storm ended up being worse then expected. So all the weather people had to do was say Nor'Easter and schools closed instantly.

38 minutes later, and 1.25 more. Seriously - lived here for 23 years and never ever saw it pile up so quickly like this. If this is going to be strong well into the night like they’re saying, then I’m starting to believe the 2 feet number :0. Almost 9 and counting... cam what are you thinking?

I don’t come in sick, but it’s been some time since I’ve been under the weather (knock on wood). I love what I do, and it’s a very high performance culture. Cut throat to many but some thrive on that. I took a train in today, not sure what risks I am subjecting others to. Running on time and still running 2x an hour during off-peak. I would’ve bowed out sooner if I saw the calamity some were calling for but it hasn’t materialized yet. So instead I worked a productive 8-3:30 day.
