Not sure on the timing but Tuesdays storm missed being a big one by like 175 miles! Staying too far to the north so doesnt become big storm till its too late for us.. We might still get 1-3" and some areas have rain involves too.

Too far north for here.

National Weather Service New York NY

.SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT/...

Another mid level shortwave trough approaches tonight with warm
advection and a chance of flurries overnight. A more robust
system the drops southeast out of the Upper Midwest on Monday,
tracking across the Great Lakes Monday night, then to the north
of the area on Tuesday. It was this very system a few days back
that raised concerns for coastal low development and a potential
winter storm. Models are all in good agreement that this development
occurs late enough to spare the region a significant winter storm.

The 00Z GFS develops a triple point low in close vicinity to
the area Tuesday morning, while the model consensus is just
north of the area near the southern New England coast. This
scenario with warm advection and onshore flow would result in a
mainly rain event for the coast, with a period of snow across
the interior late Monday night into Tuesday morning before
changing over to rain. There is the potential for 1 to 3 inches
of wet snow across interior NE NJ, the Lower Hudson Valley, and
interior southern Connecticut

CT makes the list..lol. Still early in the season, lets see if they can stay on it.

A look at the Top 30 largest season snowfall departures to date for all Climo sites in the U.S.

Bridgeport with 4.5" for the season is +2.8 above normal.
Hartford with 5.5" for the season is +1.9 above normal

Jackson Mississippi with 5.1" for the season is 5" above normal which is 7th most on the list.
Baton Rouge & Atlanta on here as well..

Kinda funny how Jackson and Baton Rouge are more above normal than Hartford and Duluth now. Burlington and Caribou are below normal

Cleaned up easily this morning. Roads were in good shape to. Saw one guy break his wheel trying to take a corner to fast and sliding into the bank. People don’t get that wet still can mean icy. Should freeze up good tonight, watch for the ice everyone. What’s up for the Tuesday Wednesday mess?

Correction just read your 1pm post

Did a circle from home to Norwalk to Ridgefield and back yesterday... had to test out the new snow tires that were put on a few weeks ago. Happy to report that they really do work wonders. Was probably the most beautiful snow storm ever seen.. the crews did a great job keeping up and it stuck to everything making it a perfect photographic moment all day and evening long!

Now, lets talk about this snow day tuesday? Hope it shifts again towards us!

Might be rain actually, especially along the coast.....NWS is even starting to think it gets near 50 in NYC, so may not be colder enough in CT to be snow, but as the poster just before me said, there's a possibility of snow late Thursday into Friday.

Here I am quoting myself.....NWS is even saying a bit over 50 now in NYC for tomorrow (though turning colder enough at night for possible snow showers on the back end).....but apparently cold enough at the start north of 84 that there is a Winter Weather Advisory for the northern counties of CT.

Nice call! I think its rain for NYC for sure. I might get 1-2" of snow before the changeover. Maybe 2-3" for northern CT.

Check out how much is falling in Vermont ...... And Maine!
