11:45am-3:45pm loop... Look for the purple bands, that's where the more heavier, steadier stuff is falling. Something tells me NW of Philly saw some decent accumulations.. Been seeing purple band there all day

Looking good Cam! A little over 2 inches here. Is it just me or do western areas look to do better when it was forecasted for the opposite? Huge dry slot moving into eastern CT/Rhode Island.

Over 4" now here.

2-6pm Loop. There's still some decent amount of moisture heading our way.. Center of storm is about 175 miles off the NY coast now.

Someone just told me the driving is very slippery. It's been coming down at a fast clip. Not that cold out, just a damp cold. Okay, so it IS sort of beautiful on the hemlocks, I'll grant you that.
We were out between 3-4pm. It was VERY slippery. To the point we are wondering if the 4WD was even working.

I put my snows on this morning and broke my phone.

I'd say by 3pm we had 4"

I was so frustrated by 5pm I made stew AND dessert (I never cook supper).

The event I was going to go to tomorrow was cancelled so that's one thing I don't have to worry about.

Looks like a few more hours to go yet.. not a big hitter but a nice steady all day snow. 5 or 6 inches to start the season. Maybe 8 in spots?
