Snow is supposed to break out around 4am. Probably a tough day for flights.

Yes, BDL is good with snow. I remember a few years back, I was in Florida and flying back during a snowstorm in late December or early January. I was waiting for boarding and I kept hearing "all flights to JFK postponed due to snow"... then it was LGA and Newark, then Boston and Providence. I kept expecting BDL to be there as well, but the announcement never came and I made it back home.

Went around and grabbed the maps from local news stations + the National Weather Service. Some of the forecasts look old, been hearing some local folks saying it's drifting west, anyone find anything else to confirm?

Those maps seem to show the westward drift. As of last night, the 12 inch cutoff was at the RI/CT border. Now its by 395 or 91, depending on the source.

Hmm, I saw similar to that as well, but what I was hearing was that those large numbers were pushing more and more west, past 391. There's already been that westward shift from what I can tell, but there are the rumours of it being more.

Nice work!

Looks like NWS went even more west now. 6-8" for here now. I think they figured the fluff factor. Higher ratio snows plus slightly more moist.

Getting little over 1/4" liquid

I’m not seeing that cam. In fact we dropped to an advisory in the last hour or so while nyc got bumped to a storm warning.

Looks like a minor to moderate event in western CT and Westchester at best. Also looks like it’s going to come later than the advisory states. At 1 am, it’ll barely be out of the DC area.

Yeah, well... I'm sitting in Denver. I changed flights early this morning to come back tonight as soon as Southwest started allowing no-charge changes. If my Thursday flight did cancel, the load factors are so high that there's no telling when I'd get home. My Southwest boarding pass says C11. I'll be in a middle death seat sniffing the blue toilet water and my roll-aboard will get gate checked but I'll get home tonight. It's only 3 hours of flight time.
