Same here but about 34 degrees.

I still won't get "comfortable" till March as you know so well Mother Nature's potential to still throw us a few curveballs till then - I hope that "she" shows some compassion till then.

It says 32 or colder.....F6's show 9 days in December and 10 so far in January (it may happen today too....high so far in Central Park is 32 but it's the current temperature)......your chart says <=31.....turns out December 14 had a high of 32.

But impressive either way! Since the forum that made that chart didn't go back before 1917 looks like from your chart only 2 of those 1800s years would've been on the list anyway and looks like also from your chart that this is the most since the late 70s/early 80s

They should be coming back sunrises start to inch earlier now. It's usually dark or sunrise when I leave for work now so I'm looking forward to it too.

Does anyone know if any CT weather stations went below zero this morning? I found one near CT that did, Poughkeepsie, NY went down to -2, but Danbury (which usually has a similar temperature profile) only bottomed out at 10 and Windsor Locks' low was 6. Low for the entire "lower 48" so far is in a somewhat unusual locale, Sherburne, NY (it's kind of halfway between Albany and Binghamton near the Baseball Hall of Fame), -11 (which is relatively high but not unprecedented for a January "national low for the day"), don't know if that's going to be the final one, sometimes they update it after midnight with more data. Usually when the Northeast has the lowest temp in the country it's either in the Adirondacks (especially Saranac Lake), Mt. Washington NH, or in northern Maine somewhere.

If anyone has any questions on records or stats for CT let me know. I don't know what to grab sometimes. I will grab something for BDR after replying to this..

Yup, that was why.. So since NYC reached 32° yesterday. Here's a new look..

That's the 20th time this season so far not passing freezing. 7th most for the period of Dec 1-Jan 18. Most since 1977. Entire 2002-03 winter, there were 30 days so lots of catching of to do..

Since Windsor Locks- BDL didn't pass 29°F yesterday, here's a look at how many times that's happened so far..

20 times staying below 30°..... Most since 1990 for Dec 1 - Jan 18 period. 8th most out of 113 years.

It's been decades feeling this cold for first half of winter.

If it continues it will be even more impressive. I seriously doubt it will... It cant. Or maybe I'm just not used to 3 months of impressive cold stats. lol

Latest GFS says....... UP & DOWN.
Warm up this weekend,
Rain Tuesday,
Arctic Air again Wed-Fri,
Warm up Sun-Mon.
Rain Monday.
Arctic Air again after,
then normal.

No snow chances till February but there are a couple of things we're watching for end of month that might bring a chance of snow.

Euro shows no arctic air next 10 days. Around Normal or warm.

Rain Tuesday and again the following weekend. Nice dry stretches and normal/warm temps

Todays Euro continues to say no more snow till February.

I think we really did see our lowest temps for the year. Not to say it cant get cold again with teens but I think we're done with impressive numbers and streaks.

Maybe we will get that early Spring?

Looks like nice morning temps across the state to start the weekend off right. Of course when I go south for a weekend it's warmer in Connecticut
