Thanks for the report guys!

Still snowing (lightly). 9 straight hours of snow falling now. Only 2.1" total here.

5:10-9:10am Loop. Looks like the Ohio Valley snow might reach us too?

Actually Channel 3 weather said that Ohio Valley storm will break up before it reaches us so we should not expect to get much if anything from it. Is that correct? They also said this storm would bring a dusting to an inch and we have well over an inch in greater Hartford, several inches to the east. JAy

Friday morning is a little more snow.

Sunday-Sunday Night could be more interesting. Jet stream digs south more with good energy and a coastal storm not far off from giving us 6"+

Quick and dirty( or snowy) discussion.

Quote:
National Weather Service New York NY
401 PM EST Tue Jan 30 2018

Thursday Night: Will need to see if future model runs
trends higher in qpf in response to the upper jet which would in
turn increase confidence in at least advisory level snowfall
for a good portion of the area.

Sunday into Sunday night:. Should the model consensus continue to nudge NW with this
low, then it could be at least a moderate snow event for some areas
