Who thinks NWS offices will start high with posting snow totals now given the fact that most of this winter they been too low. LOLOL

They already have a map out for this Friday. PLEASE DONT ASK FOR EXACT TIMES YET. Please don't let me repeat that. Ask on Thursday.

Might even be rain if it starts during the day on Friday. Snow should be falling at night and end Friday morning.

I knew we had 3-4" in Wallingford and I was right, just enough for the snow thrower to do it's job. Not so concerned about Friday but was watching the WC about Sunday and they are calling for 5" or more.

I'm down to about 1/2" snowpack now. Never saw such fast melting with a temp of 32-34 yesterday and no sun. lol

Friday morning should be 1-3" new snow. No big deal for us. Temps normal.

Saturday is going to be Sunny and Cold.

Worst of storm should be Sunday night but may start Sunday morning ahead of the coastal storm.

We'll know details in couple days

It didn't melt. It compacted rapidly due to 20 to 1 ratios. Same thing happens up in lake effect belts.

Actually it was. I got 2.1" of snow which melted to 0.13" liquid.

Ranged from 15:1 to 28:1 in some areas.

I was baffled because it was heavy and clumpy. I couldnt use a broom to clean this time.

I think it was because the surface itself was warm but like above 1000 feet it was high ratio. So little liquid still fell with the snow making it to surface but the texture and composite of it changed. Make sense?

If you look at the totals around and realize how much liquid was from it, you'll be amazed. Around 1/4" liquid produced about half foot snows. I don't agree with the "fluffy" comment though. Although I wasn't in every town so maybe it was away from the coast a bit?
