Kinda like the Nuclear Missle warning button that was hit in Hawaii. That was bad. People were putting kids in drains for protection and stayed underground for hours I believe.

Kinda funny how technology makes it easier for us to panic with the wrong button pushed. Bring back the morse code days.

Winter Weather Advisory for all 8 counties in CT. No watches or warnings.

Wonder if we should worry about ice. If you see the snow changing make sure your temps are above freezing.

For Hartford...

Lot more rain events than snow for sure.
Only had 4 weeks of snow and true cold. Not much snow but still near normal with what we got.

As of today. For the season.

Windsor Locks has 24.2". Normal to date.
Bridgeport has 20.1". +5" above normal
Islip has 28.1". + 14.1" above nornal

So a lot of schools in CT closed in anticipation, but Greenwich stayed open and noted it on their website (and so far Norwalk as well). In Westchester, about half of the districts closed, the rest are completely open. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Gotta love that Smugness posting (We are open!). From my non-scientific study this year it seems that if you love snow days Ridgefield is the one to work for. They've been closed almost every time we have had snow so far..
