3 letters. WOW!!!! Merritt was dead stop (probably a tree) so got off and took back roads...... Ummmmm, people were frantically looking for a way out like we were mice in a maze! Debris, flooding, trees down, firetrucks trying to keep up clearing the roads. It was a mess in North Stamford/Greenwich!

Drier air working south now, precip almost done. BTW - North Stamford had some snow on the ground.

The snow is finally starting to lighten up. Snow event all day in New Fairfield (snowing since at least 6am when I woke up), and very heavy at times, but yet looks to be only about 5 inches. Not going out to measure because the winds are still whipping and lots of limbs down. Must be a very wet compacted snow — would have thought accumulations to be higher considering it’s been snowing for 12+ hours

Even further south in Westchester was like night and day. After coming home where there was virtually no snow on the ground. I had and errand that took me from Mt. Vernon/New Rochelle area to Hartsdale (less than 10 miles and just south of White Plains) and they had a solid 2 to 3 inches of snow on the ground.

It was a tree across the SB lane and NB left lane. Looks it hit a car on the way down too. My GPS got me off at Exit 31 (before I knew about the tree)and I got stuck in these crazy hilly back roads in Greenwich...not a good place to be during wind I came to find out...I had to turn around 7 different times because of downed trees...Maybe we passed each other!....I finally got back on Merritt SB and got off Exit 28 and went back NB took my chances and eventually found it was a downed tree across the parkway......A rather large one too.......After that the roads were fine getting home.

Last map for now. I need an eye break.

7pm Map. Drier air working its way south now and precip ending North to south over MA, CT, RI, & NJ as the storm moves SOUTHEAST. (You don't say that often either)
