I'm potentially seeing something interesting. There is now 10-14" of fresh snow on the ground in northern Hudson Valley..Actually central... With north winds that cold air is channeling down the Hudson valley so that means Hudson Valley and Western CT is cooling down right now.

My temp has dropped from 40° to 36° in last 2.5hrs! If it starts changing over faster than expected this could get interesting real quick!

1.25" of rain here. Crazy. My garden is gonna love it! Soil never dried out this past winter.

My barometer is reading 991mb.

Yeesh these winds... I'm probably going to leave work early because of them. Don't want to be blown around, and the last thing I need is to try and get home in a wet slop of snow.

It already happened in southern Westchester.....when I left it was raining very heavy (map showed a blob of red over the Bronx, Manhattan and the southern half of Westchester right up to the CT border) with a lot of sleet and ice pellets mixing in, but past about Larchmont/Mamaroneck it was all rain and rain here in Stamford right now. I think it will go back to rain awhile there though as the blob of heavy rain goes away since the nearest snow on the map was about 40 miles away....

I'm guessing dynamic cooling from the unsually heavy rain.....

Where do you come up with this nonsense. Let's leave it to Cam and 7.

Yup, another storm Wednesday. Latest GFS shows snow. Haven't checked other models. and no warmups in sight.

My cousin in Pelham told me it was sleeting before. Then changed back to rain. The layer above 3000' is now below freezing but its taking some time to filter out the warmth at the surface. A lot of has to mix in and escape.

NYC reporting light snow. Not sure though. Manhattan getting a mix. Mostly rain over CT as it's not below freezing aloft yet..
