I'm in southern Vermont right now but of course checking the weather.. I'll be posting pics in the Vermont Photo thread tonight... Air is so cold crisp and snowpack is deep.

1:30-4:30am loop.

Some light snow here in southern VT . Rain/mix in NYC, snowing back home at the SWCT coast.

Looks like the dreaded great Lakes Runner pattern is showing its ugly head. It stayed away mostly since the 1990s..was back often last year and it looks like that pattern continues.

That's weird ... I just checked weather underground and for Monday in NF it says high 38 low 18? Oh well. Just was wondering because we're expecting 10 people from the city and am hoping their ride up to CT will be OK.

Outside in short sleeves today. I miss Vermont already. lol.

GFS model keeps hope alive for a White Christmas. It's going to come down to the timing of the front and IF a storm develops off the coast. It's going to rain 100% December 23rd as the front comes through. Everyone is warm from Montreal southwards. Rain.

As the front comes through, cold air is behind it. This is evening of December 23rd. RAIN

This is for Christmas morning. GFS develops a storm with the front off shore. Cold enough for snow for us.

The Euro model (more reliable but not always right) is slower with the front and warmer for Christmas.

Right, that sounds a lot more like you. Started to scare me way back in the spring/summer with you wanting the warmer weather.

This recent warming period really has got my goat. I was very excited for a White Christmas, and knowing our luck, we will only get miserable rain, making an already terrible holiday worse. Harumph.

You have a goat? Cool!

Yeah, today is like Spring. Sun in and out, warm wind gusts from the SW. Temps in the 50s. Grass showing and only snow piles around.

Enjoy guys. Better than Florida though. Its like non stop summer there. Lol

12pm temps December 19, 2017.

If anyone remembers, on Christmas Day 2002 we started out with rain and 50s and ended up with ice and significant snow, even in NYC, so it is possible
