Front Loaded winter is what I love.. finally got one. Now maybe normal for middle of winter then Spring starts Mid February. Let me recharge my batteries more first before dealing with that hot sun and humidity!

Looks like BDR set a "record low high temp" today, more amazing considering the high was at 12:01am

Honestly, I would rather spring start in mid-March. I will take 20 low 30ish high during Jan and Feb and early March with 8+ snow storms bi-weekly. That's fine by me. I cannot stand this 0 and 10 degree weather. I don't even mind the snow. I really like the snow. I just can't stand this bitter cold.

I won't lie and say the cold is a refreshing reminder why I love the summer so much.

My kind of winter is the one next week or so, maybe it's a bit too warm for me.

As much as I hate winter in general and paying crazy heating bills, I'd rather have cold than snow. At least I don't have to shovel cold, put rock salt on it, slip on it or track it into the house!

All that useless cold finally turned into a Fun storm! Hope we get one snow storm a week all winter until the beginning of April! Forget that winter ending mid february! The winds were a bit much though. Thankfully outside of the cape power outages were limited. I'm really hoping for a 2 foot + storm this year. That would be cake.

I am impressed my boiler hasnt been on all day. You wouldn't know its been windy sub zero feel outside. 75 in main rooms, 65 in other rooms. 6° outside. 2 pieces of wood every 2 hours. Oak & Cherry. Impressed with the heat output and sustained warmth inside.

In the summer I take my shoes off on the runner at back and front doors. For sure I do in winter too.

Ironically these were just shipped today. Brand new. No slipping outside. You should try them.

Free heat too.

Love winter!

I love cold winters too! In fact, I think the weather last year was amazing.

Basically, I want a long, cold winter from Nov. 15th to April 15th, then a near immediate warmup to 80 like last spring, then a summer with days around 83 degrees and nights around 58. Then, just as quickly as it came, it goes back to winter.

If anyone could actually find a climate close to this I would love it!

I'm usually barefoot in summer

I do have a pair of stabil-icers but they don't go over my boots. I should look into a bigger pair. But they'd be on and off for driving and would drive me crazy.

I wish I had free heat!
Oh wait - I do in SUMMER! Which I love

(I'd rep you for making me laugh but I apparently repped you not long ago)
