Thanks. I'm pretty sure it was sleet they got which is counted as snow. Not 100% sure though.

Saw a report for Canaan, CT of 2 inches. I will tally it all as usual either later on or tomorrow.

Yeah, I hope salt trucks and people were ready for it. Such a tough thing to mention especially October but I had a feeling either higher elevations or north of 84 would see scenes like that. Pretty amazing that ITS DURING THE DAY

111 yrs of records, 2016 will be in the books as the 3rd snowiest October for Hartford.

Only 1979 (1.7") and 2011 (12.3") had more October snow then this year.

October 27, 2016 Snowstorm Totals for NWS Albany and Boston coverage areas.

Mostly 1-3" but I see 4-6" in VT and MA (Rowe, MA 6.0") WOW.

Almost 3" in Colebrook. Litchfield county must look so nice! Probably melt by tomorrow morning.

Todays min & max temps. Some areas warming up after 8pm but most of the day in the 30s in CT. That's a Mid Winter normal max

I was driving through around East Hartford/Glastonbury from 1pm and there was definitely snow covering the ground! I didn't expect it.

I still have some in the backyard.

Had to update that mping app to report the snowfall at noon.

Even had to turn the heat on tonight

Funny how it's raining in Burlington.

BDR had 1.90" of rain and just missed ending their streak of no days of rain 2" or more. It was a record for the date though.
