I didn't expect it was accurate, just thought it funny

Just thinking.. spring and Fall is when I want endless sunny days (without the torching heat of course) but given we been rainless since June I fear the pattern might get cloudy and rainy now for fall. That would just suck!

Sure I would like the rain (i been bored with no precip to measure!) But since its Fall I wanna enjoy the outdoors since I havent since Spring! Past few days has been a blessing

So here's to hoping it stays sunny and dry till November then stormy and snowy till Spring. Lol

Whats funny is, watch it start raining when everything goes dormant anyway.

Leaf changes are looking raggedy. Yikes.

Wouldn't mind if in a 120 day period it only rained, no snow, maybe 5 days. Then within a 60 day period be cold with snow for 1 to 25 days. Then in another 60 day period be cold and dreary with rain 1 to 25 days out of those 60 days. Then in another 60 days dry heat and only raining 5 days within those 60 days. Then 60 days of muggy hot weather with only 5 to 10 days of precipitation.

Would you rather be in Minnesota this morning where those local areas are dealing with freezing temps?

Cold front coming with north winds...and again..not much moisture

Quote:
National Weather Service New York NY
731 AM EDT WED SEP 14 2016

.SYNOPSIS...
A cold front over the Eastern Great Lakes this morning will pass
through the area late this afternoon into early this evening.

An upper trough tracking across
Eastern Canada and the Great Lakes today will send a strong cold
front across the area late this afternoon into early this evening.

While there is a significant change in airmass behind the front,
there are limiting factors for widespread convection. The airmass
ahead of the front is only marginally unstable, lacks boundary
layer moisture, and convergence along the front is weak.

Cold front passes south of LI between 8 and 9 PM based on a model
consensus forecast. Strong cold advection ensues behind the front
with several hours of gusty north winds, up to 25 mph. Any
showers will be isolated early this evening.

Lows will range from the lower 50s inland, to the lower 60s at the
coast. This is nearly seasonable. Highs on Thursday will only top
out in the low to mid 70s,which is a few degrees below normal.
