Lets see if it can survive!

Guys, the cold coming doesn't look to be short lived

First .. 30s in Central Florida next week? We'll see.

2nd .. Here's the Data for Windsor Locks

Euro12z says there's really no big break in the cold air mass starting this weekend.

Just to give you an idea.... Normal 850mb temp air mass over Albany is -8C. Over Long Island is -4C. So while not historic, there's really no warm breaks.

If you look at the 2Meter Temp column, pretty much Teens, 20s and 30s for us. And a few snowfalls

It was 2 years ago, a big deal was made because that was the year the Super Bowl was in NJ and the day of the game they got lucky with that "experiment" and it was 50 degrees only to snow hard the next morning. It did affect a lot of out of towners with flights out the next day from the Super Bowl.

Thats right. In fact, wasnt there a prediction from like months back that it could happen? Was it from Farmers Almanac or another source? Was weird how close it came.

Also... New Hampshire Primarys could be affected by this snowstorm Tuesday

Non stop heavy rains training over me. Over 1.10" now. Make it stop! This is pointless.

How is it pointless? It's cleaning all of the salt and dirt from the snowstorm last week...

Everything is dormant so our landscape doesnt need it.

Our ground is semi frozen so it doesnt go deep and store down below like warm months. Just runs off.

Farmers arent farming in fact they "need" and rather have a snowpack then rain. This is because snow keeps the soil moist into spring instead of drying out fast.

Rain in winter is really pointless from a necessity standpoint. Salt & dirt washing away is cosmetic.

As far as rivers and reservoirs we can get those to good levels with good snowpack up stream.
