This is exciting. Getting ready to see snowfall rates usually reserved for the lake effect belt. We rarely see this. Keep an eye out for thundersnow.

I'm surprised the state hasn't shut down the interstates down. If we get 20 inches of snow in 6 hours, all the roads will be shut down and impassable due to being and even plows getting stuck. If people head into work, they might be stuck there. CT does NOT have enough plows to deal with this amount of snow. Does no one remember that 2-3 foot event a few years ago that shut down roads for days? Plows couldn't keep up and got stuck.

They just said a large portion of CT can see 20"..... I'm no weatherman but 20" in less than 8 hours. 3+ hours of 3-4" per hour rate. Paralyzing.
