3pm. Not a cloud in the sky. Incredible.

How would you like to be living in Groton? 50°.

Even with an onshore flow off 40° waters we're in the 60s near the coast.

Wish they would fix that NJ station.

81° in Cumberland. MD!

I see why.. Here are the mid level temps. (remember, surface is controlled from Top down).

It's +12-13C (mid 50s) at 5000' over PA and NY and I believe that is down sloping off the Appalachians into the coast. So the warm mid levels are mixing down and add full sun, boom 60s and 70s.

Jet Stream dipping down to Texas. Below freezing at 5000' over Oklahoma.

We don't get high departures in Summer. We get them more in the other seasons.

Normal High is 85° July 15th. Extreme max temps is upper 90s low 100s so you can see we don't go above 15+ above normal much in summer.

If it was 30 above normal in July we would be 115°. LOL The humidity we get with hot temps in summer keeps things cooler per say. If it was dry as a bone I can see at least 107-110. But we're not the desert.

Current departures for the hour. Looks like 32 above normal for Hartford. 24 for Bridgeport.

My theory is cambium saw the trends early on this winter and tried using reverse jinx in which it only worked for one week. Many were showing a "warm feb" in early January but winter lovers held out hope.

Today though is just plain cruel. Boston record high. Hartford second all time high.

Humid and 70 in Feb. I can't believe I typed that. I am seriously considering moving. CT has drastically changed.

Do you guys feel its humid? Maybe not as bone dry as it could be?

This afternoons dewpoints and departures.

52° in Hartford is 32 above normal.
56° Atlantic City is 29 above normal.

So basically normal dews is in the 20s yet there's widespread 50s out there.

4pm. Cooling off fast along the shores. Nantucket almost in the 40s. Long Island 50s. New Haven now 50s.

70s still in Boston suburbs.

Still 67° here.

Those dew points really climbed, too. Lots of upper 50s in northern Jersey, according to private weather stations.
