Should I be worried about traveling alone to NH this weekend? I'm planning to leave from East Granby very early Saturday morning to Gilford, NH and then Monday morning drive back to Norwalk. Normally I wouldn't think twice and plan to watch the weather, but my parents and my husband seem a bit nervous as I'm 7.5 months pregnant and will be alone.

Those sound like perfect times to do it! You might be driving through some snow showers here and there but Try to get to your destination by sunset. Heaviest would come Saturday evening/Night. be all done by Sunday lunchtime/afternoon. Congrats and good luck.

Currently snowing lightly in SWCT about to enter central CT from the SW. Don't panic.. T-1" only.

------------------------.

For Saturday-Sunday storm it's going to be where the storm makes the turn! Latest GFS has it right over NYC at 7pm Saturday. So Philly & NYC are not in for the heavy snows. But the wind will be howling, the snow will be blowing and the cold air will be biting Sunday.

-----------------

Now.. about the 3rd storm Wed next week... you guys keeping up with all this??? LOL

models been trending colder but I mentioned rain/ice would be involved as of right now..

Guess what GFS just does... Colder... Snowier.

Here's the snowfall total map for the 3rd snowstorm. All you need to realize is that it's now showing its colder and more off the coast with the storm rather than the amounts shown itself,.

This is just for Wednesdays snow.

Not even accumulating since it's falling to lightly and melting right after contact. Only reporting a Trace so far and it's been snowing for an hour. LOL

Canadian12z even further south than GFS12z with the Weekend Low over Philly instead of NYC.

Now... Do you see the difference in results??????

Instead of exiting NYC and the heavy snows MA/Boston areas, now heaviest snows NYC, Long Island, Rhode Island, Eastern MA

If the Euro goes south of NYC too, heads up. I always knew this weekend storm was the one to watch!

FYI... the energy/clipper storm is still in Canada. As it dives south the models will have better data to injest since it's in the network of the data grabs.

Here's the result of the Canadian which includes Wednesdays snowstorm as well.

REMEMBER>.. this is based on 10:1. So multiple these numbers by 1.5 north of Trenton,NJ

And it doesn't end there.

Next weekend a storm is being shown as well. Gees!

Judging by this, looks like Islip dropped below 10" snowpack. (I didn't check the F6 data yet)

Record longest 10"+ snow depth in Islip, NY(since 1984) will stand this year at 15 days.

Now officially 3rd longest in Bridgeport,CT (since 1948) still going at 10 days.
