Danbury has a 2 hour delay this morning.....

I'm reading that one model (supposedly the Canadian, which had all the snow yesterday), is now saying RAIN? (At least for the CT coast and right around NYC)

Checked the F6 data for Bridgeport and as of 7am yesterday they had 14" snow depth with nothing that melted from the 14" previous day. I assume this mornings reading will be an inch or two less from yesterdays upper 30s. I dropped to 12.5" snow depth from 14".

I pieced together this map showing the current snow depth in Southern New England. Cool link, to save. Just type in a city, state, then click "local area snow depth" on left to get the maps. http://www.weatherstreet.com/weather-forecast/connecticut-snow-cover.htm

Temps got up to 35 last night which was surprisingly warm considering we've been in the singles and teens for a while. Started coming down here around 7am lightly and has gotten progressively heavier. Main roads were clear and wet and secondaries were just a light coating. Unless it keeps coming down like this through the day I don't anticipate much accumulated.

Same here. Was pretty surprised with 34 degrees at wake up. Not sure why there were delays this morning. Pretty much just flurries.

Apparently Litchfield got the several inches that were forecasted for the state. The weather teams are really doing a horrid job this year with amounts. They seem to be having difficulty predicting where the snowfall will accumulate across the state. This event was supposed to coat the state in 1-3" with a potential for 6". What we got was about 1/4 or less of the state with 3" and the rest with wet roads, however loads of 2 hours delays today.

Yeah, thank God West Hartford schools continue to be a model of sanity. I see Bloomfield & Canton are on 2-hour delays this morning which is an absolute joke.

My drive in was snow covered but fine (at 7 am this morning) but now I am hearing from coworkers on the road that the Hartford area has become very slippery.
