Snow hung on a lot longer than I thought it would today. Not a big accumulation but an impressive little snow.

Damn the roads are horrible. Took me 3 hours to go from Stamford to stepney. I kept having to stop to fix my wipers

I saw the sand on the roads this morning and thought to myself it's going to be a loooong day. I'm sitting here dreading the commute westbound 84.

Lesson to all..even a 2 or 3 inch snowfall CAN create major road issues. This is all due to the frigid temps.

It seems to really be breaking up, there are huge pockets in New Jersey, Connecticut, and around NYC that on radar at least - seem to look like there is no snow falling. It also slowed way down here too (on the coast east of New Haven). The current surface map as the storm/front not all that far from the Tri-State area right now:

Current radar:
Bump... wow was this map off....

Mark - I saw that too

Although I'm having trouble really buying into this (who knows though)....WC and others have updated their expected highs for this coming weekend- places from the NYC/NJ/CT area south to Washington DC could see highs from 60 to 70 F:

The big question is how much snow will survive? Will there even be any snow left after this Sunday

I think the snow will be gone by/after Sunday, agree though that I don't think it will be 65-70, but 60 not out of the question.....

One day of warm weather isn't too bad as long as it's cold and stormy again. Or at least cold.
