Update on Thursday's Storm potential-- he gives a good run-down on the models and sides with the ECM...

February 12-14 Potentially Significant Snowstorm

If we count the higher accuracy of the ECMWF and CMC models versus the GFS model as of late, as well as model guidance tendencies for the storm to track too far south and the ECMWF being rather consistent on this idea of an East Coast snowstorm, I think it's best to support the ECMWF/CMC solution in terms of track, NOT amounts. Amounts will be determined further in the future.

Hoping it either :
1. Blows out to sea.
2. Is only a few inches if is snow.
3. Mixes with rain.
I hate to sound like a broken record, but enough already. I saw someone post on the other thread before it closed that they hope this storm is huge and that its 15-20 inches. I get that people do love some snow but why on earth would anyone request a blizzard with that amount of snow. Do we not remember last February? People were not plowed for days.....some a week. It took 3 days for a plow to reach our parking lot.It causes major disruption to people's lives I don't get it......a few inches here and there, fine, but wanting feet??

Except last year it took two months after that for spring to roll in cause it was cold through like, May.

Snow's pretty and all, but I don't think people understand how damaging it can be to people's income.

It can also be very beneficial to some people's income.

Anyway, I love snow, regardless. The more the better. After all, it's only temporary.

I don't mind the snow, it's the cold I hate. If it's cold, it might as well snow. Otherwise, give me Spring.
