Take a little break from weather lately. You can tell the sun being a bit stronger when it's only 30° and it feels warm in the sun. Spring is near. I don't see any extremes either way and I don't see any sustained warm-up in sight yet.

Current temps out there. 20s/30s with High Pressure clouds and a nice snowpack. Slow drips from the trees and gutters with a 2" ice layer on top of the snow.

I'm seeing some changes so don't worry, it's coming. I think we're going to go from seasonable with cold shots to seasonable with warm shots after mid February but it will take a while to feel the effects

I'll be surprised we continue a cold trend but it seems so hard to break so who knows..

Here's the Minimum Wind Chill temp next 24hrs.

I skated with my son (seven years old) from 4 until 830. He didn't want to go to bed. Life doesn't get better.

A look at the 7am Temps this morning.
Another well below normal morning.

4 of the last 5 minimums have been in single digits in Danbury.
Bridgeport between 19-21°
Windsor Locks hit 1° yesterday and 2° this morning. Wow. I didn't realize that
