While it might stay below freezing for another few days, GFS says rain is coming Friday now. Euro says snow.

We can't even get a good melt for our important areas like walkways, roofs, gutters, ect. The sun slowly melts things then just refreezes

Sucks for us but farmers are loving every minute of this snowpack. Spring crop is going to be awesome if we can get a good slow melt going.

NWS shows 35.6" so far for BDL so something's wrong there....

I noticed that for Thursday's storm forecasters are back to saying may change to rain even in northern CT.

Now I feel better I'm having the roof cleared as we speak. Rain with all that snow and ice up the roof would give me the willies. Next time I'm buying a ranch and doing this myself....actually next time Im moving to AZ. lol

lol. I keep saying I'm going to finish but I don't! Roofs can hold up to 3 feet here but there's some areas (like above a porch) that I fear too much of. plus that stuff was all water and then add ice on top. I feel safer with it off but not necessary.

So Euro says Danbury is in the single digits tomorrow morning. GFS says teens.

Euro says Danbury is near 0° Tuesday and Wednesday morning. GFS says teens.

Euro says snow only Thursday, GFS says rain only Thursday night

So basically, last Euro was cold, GFS is warmer.

I think the pattern is changing and they are having a real hard time catching onto things.

I'm curious what tomorrow morning ends up as

Noaa says this for minimums.

Danbury is also hard to forecast in general. It's subject to temp swings and is very sensitive! I notice it's very easy for cold air to filter down into Danbury from the NW, and also for warm air to filter in from the south. It's away from the coastline, and DXR is in a small valley-- any radiative cooling or daytime heating can be significant

Today's high temp at DXR was the lowest at any NWS climo station in CT (26F) and had one of the lower low temps (3F).

To some a bad memory.
To some a great lasting historic memory to pass down
To some a fascinating memory from a meteorological standpoint

I had some pretty bad damming so I had to get it done. Trust me I hate spending money when it isn't necessary.

I was amazed at the normal snow they took down. It had an inch and a half of solid ice on top of it.

I hope to never wake up and see this again. When I looked out the window and saw this, I was speechless. There was 31" in my parking area, shown here, all the way to the main road. 3/4 of a mile long. I thought we were all going to be stuck for days.
