Blue skies here. Looks like clouds surround me except to my south. Enjoy the winter type pattern.

I saw that too. They stayed warmer throughout the event and had more rain. It highlights the significance of how fragile the snow was yesterday-- where simply being away from the coast and up a few hundred feet brought us snow.

If you guys are using the point and click map for the SREF plume snowfall total forecast be careful...

For instance,.. Northern CT BDL is showing a mean of 4.9" for Tuesday night snow. But take a closer look. 4 members are severely inflated while 17 members are under an inch. So the mean is reflecting those very high totals.

Is it supposed to snow more further north (like at BDL?). OKX is simply showing "snow showers" (which usually means 1" or less) for Tuesday night and again Thursday for most of its zones.

It's only a 20% chance. I think we are being paranoid now after that complete bust out of nowhere snowfall. Some nws don't even have it forecasted at all

New NAM out is drier. Dew points in the single digits. Arctic air = dry. I Don't expect much or any snowfall.

But this is a very tough pattern because it's not organized storms, it's like where ever there are clouds, the snow can fall. Try to predict cloud cover in specific locations days away. Almost impossible.

I mean look at the radar loop Brian posted above. Everything is scattered. Some folks wondering why snow wasn't forecasted for them while they got extra 1-2" on the ground this morning.

Aren't you glad we're here, and not sitting in a forecaster's shoes right now?

BTW - Norfolk making news headlines. Saw them on FoxNews. lol And NWS Albany updated the total to 10 inches now in Norfolk since a meteorologist reported 10 inches from there. Maybe another inch fell after the 9" report too. Imagine that... 10 inches of snow from just a short wave...not a storm.
